'Chicago PD' season 4 spoilers: Dawson to get another chance at love

(Facebook/NBCChicagoPD)Dawson meets his match in "Chicago PD" season 4.

Love is in the air for Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) as he finds a woman who will give him all the love he deserves in the upcoming season of "Chicago P.D."

Entertainment Weekly reports that Dawson will find love with his sister's colleague, Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) in "Chicago Fire." The female paramedic is a close associate of Gabriella (Monica Raymund) in the firehouse, but she and the detective are just passing acquaintances. With the promised crossover between the two NBC series, the fated lovers will get the chance to know each other and fall in love in the process.

Executive producer Matt Olmstead said in his interview that the two suit each other well. For Dawson, the sudden attraction will come as a surprise since he never expected to find a good match for him after the divorce.

"There's plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio — his character has a couple kids, he's divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she's had her heart broken. She's looking for a real man, he qualifies. He's looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies," he explained.

Meanwhile, one woman who will stay single in season 4 is Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati). After her painful separation from Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) last installment, Olmstead told The Hollywood Reporter that she would take a break from the dating scene. Burgess will reportedly focus on her job and enjoy being single for a while.

Burgess' last two relationships did not end that well. First, she was engaged to Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) but she called it off because of his inability to commit. She then got involved with Roman, but a scandal forced them to consider their priorities and they eventually broke up.

"Chicago P.D." season 4 will return on NBC on September 21, Wednesday, at 10 p.m. EST.
