'Chicago PD' season 4 spoilers: The unit probes on a case of a missing woman in episode 2
The team takes on the case of a man who was beaten and his missing fiancé in the upcoming episode 2, titled "Made a Wrong Turn," of the fourth season of the American police procedural drama "Chicago PD."
Squad Commander of Chicago PD Intelligence Unit Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team investigate the case of a man who they discover after being beaten badly. Plus, they learn that his fiancé is nowhere to be found. Lindsay (Sophia Bush), on the other hand, decides to ask a question to Halsted (Jesse Lee Soffer) that he will not expect. Meanwhile, Platt (Amy Morton) is berated by Fogel (Ian Bedford) for ignoring to consult him on a matter.
The promo trailer for "Made a Wrong Turn" reveals that the white woman missing that Voight's team is investigating on was last seen in the heart of the ghetto. The case could result to a wider consequence in the city.
The series just started the fourth season, but the conflict of the season has already been revealed by showrunner Matt Olmstead in an interview with TV Guide.
"The main source of conflict is going to be between Lindsay and Voight," Olmstead said. "She obviously tried to dissuade him from taking the law into his own hands, and he was dead set on going forward. So, what we have is her trying to come to terms with what she is pretty sure he did."
The showrunner also teased that things will not go really well for the rest of the team. He said that the team is torn after Voight's son was murdered in the previous season. They all feel his pain and, because of the tragedy, the unit is temporarily sealed off.
Although Lindsay knows a thing or two about Voight's plans, she may choose not to speak about it to protect Voight and the rest of the unit.
"Chicago PD" season 4 episode 2 airs on Sept. 28, Wednesday, at 10 p.m. on NBC.
