The long wait is nearly over for more than a few "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players, as the "Descent" downloadable content (DLC) pack is finally set to be released for both the PC and the Xbox One on Aug. 11.

"Descent" was initially released for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) port of the first-person shooter on July 12, but with the 30-day exclusivity period nearly up, soon, more players will also be able to try out the new features included in the DLC pack.

Players can take a quick look at these new features in the recently released trailer for the "Descent" DLC pack that was shared by Xbox's official YouTube channel.

Similar to previously released DLC packs, "Descent" will be adding four new multiplayer maps to the game.

First of the new maps is Berserk, and within this particular setting, players will be tasked with dealing with harsh blizzards as they attempt to make their way through the remnants of an old Viking settlement.

Next up is Cryogen, and players who try out this map will be taken to a high-tech compound that houses the some of the world's most nefarious criminal minds.

The third multiplayer map included in "Descent" is Empire and long-time fans of the "Call of Duty" franchise may recognize this setting as it is based on the Raid map included in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," according to the game's official website. Players who opt for this map will find themselves navigating through a luxurious Roman villa that is both stunning to behold and potentially deadly for players.

Last of the four multiplayer maps is Rumble, and this setting takes players to a new area that features enormous robots destroying one another.

"Descent" also adds "Gorod Krovi," which is otherwise known as the latest chapter of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" Zombies mode. The newest chapter of the game's Zombies mode dials up the action by introducing new mechanized soldiers and fire-breathing dragons that players will now have to handle as well.

More news about "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" should be made available in the near future.
