'Bones' season 11 update: Kim Raver is latest addition to the cast; Booth will go missing
Someone new is joining the "Bones" cast come season 11. But what got fans talking is what role this new character will be playing. Apparently, she needed to go onboard to join the search party for Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz).
Yes, that is right. Seeley Booth will go missing — at least in the first two episodes. This is why FBI Special Agent, Grace Miller (Kim Raver), had to be cast, as she will help investigate Booth's absence. This makes sense, says TV Guide, because this explains exactly how Booth and Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will get together after that season 10 finale, when both promised to turn their backs on the Jeffersonian and the FBI.
Kim Raver is known for her roles in "24," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Lipstick Jungle." She will make her first appearance in "Bones" during the pilot episode of season 11.
Season 10 ended more like a series finale, with Booth and Bones deciding to leave the FBI after getting back together as Booth says goodbye to his gambling addiction. It was for a good reason, though, since the crime procedural drama shot the season finale before it was renewed for another season. But with news that both characters are back, fans are just raring to know just how they will return to their crime-solving roles.
"Bones" premiered in 2005 and has always been categorized by its humor and the undeniable online chemistry between the two main characters. Brennan is the "brawn" of the show, bringing case files to solve using human remains to the "brain," forensic anthropologist, Bones.
The story is loosely based on producer Kathy Reichs, who is also a forensic anthropologist, on top of being a novelist. The protagonist on Reich's crime novel series has the same name as the series' main protagonist, Temperance Brennan.
"Bones" season 11 pilots on ABC at 8 p.m., Oct. 1, 2015.
