'Blue Bloods' season 7 episode 4 spoilers: Reagans bring justice to Lieutenant Gormley
The Reagans are determined to bring justice to Lieutenant Gormley (Robert Clohessy) in the upcoming episode 4, titled "Mob Rules," of the seventh season of the American police procedural drama "Blue Bloods."
Gormley was badly beaten by a mob outside his home and, after learning about the incident, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Frank (Tom Selleck) are determined to find out the truth and bring justice. The Reagans want to look into what happened and then ask for the help of Detective Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa) since he has a personal connection in the ins and outs of Gormley's neighborhood.
Eddie (Vanessa Ray) and Jamie (Will Estes), on the other hand, are witnesses of a dishonest arrest. Meanwhile, Danny tries his hardest to locate a witness who could testify against a dangerous gang leader.
The promo trailer for "Mob Rules" shows Gormley being attacked by a group of men who even got more infuriated when he revealed that he is a cop. Because of the incident, Frank holds a meeting and emphasizes the goal of putting an end to the blood on the streets. The NYPD takes on the challenge to make things right.
The new season reflects a lot on the real issues of police enforcement these days. Showrunner Kevin Wade said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "We've never brought in a headline regarding a police action or something and said, 'Let's do our version of this.' We generally go the other way, where we do research, we follow certain blogs, and we certainly talk to a lot of cops...We try to get information where you go, 'Now this is an interesting story,' and two or three times per season we'll do it, and a month, two months, or three months later it will happen in real life."
"Blue Bloods" season 7 airs Fridays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
