'Bloodline' season 2 spoilers, cast: John Leguizamo, Andrea Riseborough to join
Netflix original series "Bloodline" is set to be released on May 27 and will be introducing new characters in its second season. Two of these additions are John Leguizamo and Andrea Riseborough.
The new cast members will be playing characters who are said to have close ties or relationships with Danny Rayburn (Ben Mendelsohn), the eldest brother in the Rayburn family.
Leguizamo will be playing the role of Ozzy Delvecchio; however, the show creators haven't revealed any specific details yet who Delvecchio will be and what his significance is in the storyline.
The actor said that the character is being constantly customized every episode to see how he will fit as the story progresses. He confessed, "I get my script sometimes minutes before I'm about to shoot because they want it to be so organic."
There are speculations, though, that Delvecchio might become one of the biggest thorns on the Rayburns' side.
Riseborough, on the other hand, will play Evangeline, who is described as having a score to settle with the family and has a close connection with Danny.
In her interview on Parade, cast member Linda Cardellini who plays Meg, said that the second season will pick up right where season 1 ended.
It can be remembered that in the first season, Danny died in the hands of his brother, John (Kyle Chandler). The two brothers had a fight where John ended up knocking Danny down and throwing his body into the ocean to drown.
The synopsis for season two indicates that the Rayburn family will be filled with paranoia as they try to cover up Danny's murder. Because of this, there will be betrayals and mistrust destroying the once happy relationship of the Rayburn clan.
"Bloodline" was created by Daniel Zelman, Todd Kessler, and Glenn Kessler, the trio who also created "Damages." It follows the story of a Florida Keys family who seems to be hiding their past and history.
