'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers, premiere news: Bryan Cranston's Walter White making an appearance?
The upcoming season of "Better Call Saul" has been surrounded by rumors, especially considering its predecessor's popularity. One particular rumor has to do with "Breaking Bad" characters making appearances in the upcoming season, and season 3 might just be the place for it.
Characters from "Breaking Bad" have previously made guest appearances on the show, but fans have been clamoring for Walter White and Jesse Pinkman to cameo as well. And for the first two seasons, no such thing happened. But perhaps the third time's the charm as rumor has it that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul may just be returning to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Cranston's iconic portrayal of Walter White sparked "Breaking Bad" to amass a huge fan following. And in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cranston revealed that he would be open to making an appearance on "Better Call Saul."
"If they were to call me and say, 'We have this idea, we'd like...' I would say, 'Yes, you don't have to finish the pitch. I'm there, what do you want me to do?'" he said. "I'm all in."
Apart from Cranston and Paul, Betsy Brandt's Marie Schrader and Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring are also speculated to make appearances in the third season of the AMC series.
It is also widely believed that season 3 may cross paths with "Breaking Bad" in terms of some of its storylines. The rumors first sparked after Rhea Seehorn, who plays Kim Wexler on "Better Call Saul," expressed the very idea of it happening.
"I can only presume that it's also on the table for them to do scenes that happen during 'Breaking Bad' years in some fashion," Seehorn told Deadline in an interview.
Since everything is still up in the air for the executive producers to decide and nothing has been confirmed, fans should take this news with a grain of salt.
"Better Call Saul" season 3 will premiere in 2017 on AMC.
