"Bates Motel" is bringing in a ton of new faces for its fifth and final season. Apart from Rihanna playing Marion Crane, Isabelle McNally and Brooke Smith are also set to appear in the A&E thriller series.

The executive producers of "Bates Motel" have already said that they will be taking certain liberties when it comes to the story of the series. The final season will focus heavily on Norman's (Freddie Highmore) descent to insanity and his encounter with Marion, which was the premise of the film from which the show is based. However, that does not mean that they will follow the film's story down to the last detail. And it certainly seems that way, considering their additional casting.

According to TVLine, McNally from "House of Cards" will be playing the role of Madeleine Loomis. It remains to be seen who Madeleine is and how she will play into the story of the show, but it should be noted that she has been described as "a warm and kindhearted woman who bears a striking resemblance to a young Norma Bates."

As avid "Psycho" fans know, Loomis is also the last name of Marion's boyfriend, Sam, in the original Alfred Hitchcock film. Could Madeleine be related to Sam in any way? 

The same publication argues that Madeleine could be Sam's wife and that Marion is actually his mistress. However, other reports say that Madeleine could actually be Marion's lesbian lover and that she may very well end up being stabbed to death by Norman for looking a lot like his mother.

On the other hand, in a separate report by TVLine, it was revealed that Smith has been cast to play Sheriff Dana Green, who will be replacing Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) as head honcho of the town's police. She is described to be "competent, professional, moralistic and sharp."

As previously reported, the role of Sam Loomis, Marion's boyfriend, has yet to be cast. No mention of a casting call for Marion's sister, Lila, has been made either.

"Bates Motel" season 5 will air in 2017.
