'Attack on Titan' season 2 rumors: Upcoming season of the anime to introduce more titans

(Facebook/Shingeki no Kyogin)Rumors claim that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will reveal that Zeke and Eren are half-brothers.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is not slated to air earlier than spring 2017, but it can't be denied that it is one anime show that is attached to numerous rumors and speculations. However, there is no denying that one of the most persistent rumors about it is that more titans will be introduced when the anime series returns for its second season.

A few months back, it was alleged that "Attack on Titan" season 2 would introduce a new smart and thinking titan named Beast Titan, who, later on, is said to be no other than Zeke, Eren Yeager's half-brother. Allegedly, just like Eren, Zeke has the ability to shape-shift into a titan but can still maintain his logic and reasoning even after he has already transformed. While Zeke/Beast Titan is pretty much the same with Eren's smart titan form, it is said, though, that he is stronger than the latter.

However, according to the latest rumors, Zeke is not the only new titan that will be introduced in the series. Reportedly, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will also cast the spotlight on Ymir Fritz, the first titan, as it is alleged that the series will unravel the history of the titans and the walls.

Meanwhile, it has been learned that "Attack on Titan" season 1 employed 34 chapters from its manga counterpart for the 25 episodes it aired. With the manga title now on its 86th chapter, it goes without saying that the anime has more than enough materials for its season 2. This means that earlier rumors saying that the upcoming season of the anime would deviate from the events in its manga origin due to lack of materials are nothing but speculations and allegations.

As of this writing, there is still no specific date on when "Attack on Titan" will really return for its season 2, although it has already been announced that it will air in spring 2017. Once the anime begins airing its season 2, only by then can it be confirmed whether the aforementioned rumors on the inclusion of Zeke and Ymir Fritz as the series' new titans can be confirmed.
