(FoxMovies Official)

More updates on the movie adaptation of "Assassin's Creed" have recently been dropped. A unique teaser for the movie has been released and it features a voicemail left by Michael Fassbender's and Jeremy Irons' characters.

The voicemail, which can now be heard through YouTube via Access The Animus. When fans enter the following digits 1-646-845-9162 on their phone, the message left by the characters will play, Design & Trend reported.

The first part of the voicemail features Irons in his role as Alan Rikkin, the Chief Executive Officer of Abstergo. He mentions the company and its products – nothing really significant. But after the beep, Fassbender then comes in as his character, Callum Lynch.

"These are the sacred tenets of our brotherhood," the voice said. Players of the "Assassin's Creed" games will find this phrase all too familiar, especially when it followed the commandments or oath uttered by the main characters of the game franchise.

Apart from this unique voicemail teaser, a movie still featuring Fassbender in his modern-day character has also been released. Callum is described to be somebody who relives "genetic memories" from a Spanish assassin named Aguilar from 15th century, and in the photo, he appears to be working on his charcoal paintings while in his prison cell. A close-up of the movie still reveals that Callum has been sketching ghostly and shadowy figures.

"Assassin's Creed's" story will revolve around Callum, who will unlock the said genetic memories through a revolutionary technology. As a result, he can relive the experiences of his ancestor, Aguilar. He then discovers that he is a descendant of the enigmatic group called the Assassins. This group possesses the knowledge and skills to take down the evil group called Templar, which still operates even in the present day.

Apart from Fassbender and Irons, "Assassin's Creed" also stars Brendan Gleeson, Marion Cotillard and Michael Kenneth Williams. The movie is scheduled to be released on Dec. 21, 2016.
