Arsenal FC rumors: team looking to pick up some German Bundesliga stars

For an Arsenal FC fan, there are both good and bad news coming from rumors linking the team to different stars from the German Bundesliga.
In their hopes to win the English Premier League and possibly challenge for the UEFA Champions League title in the coming season, the Gunners are looking to strengthen the squad by adding world-class players to the roster.
Earlier, they were linked to Borussia Dortmund star, Marco Reus. Along with the Gunners, there were different English Premier League teams who wanted to acquire the services of the German, with Liverpool FC being one of the more popular teams.
However, if recent news is to be believed, their desires to get the star will have to wait a little longer since Reus has apparently decided to stay with the Black and Yellow.
According to Anthony Chapman of the Daily Express, the agency handling Reus released this statement regarding the German's proposed move overseas: "We read the rumours that are circulating about an alleged transfer for Marco. We can say with certainty that the player is having a wonderful time at Dortmund. He is flattered by the interest of many European teams but he's recently decided to stay in Dortmund."
This is certainly a big blow for the club but if there is one thing to take here, it is the fact that Reus has not always been the healthiest of players.
In the recent Bundesliga season, Reus only managed to play 20 games as he was hampered by injuries.
Arsenal are not new to injured forwards, with Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott both missing significant amount of time due to knocks. If they add Reus and he stays out due to injury, then it would not have been money well spent.
Meanwhile, there are news that reignited links between the Gunners and Schalke 04 star, Julian Draxler, after initial talks between Schalke and Serie A giants Juventus have stalled.
According to news, Draxler and Juventus have agreed on personal terms for a potential move, but the amount of £15.6 million to get Draxler is not the amount that Schalke are looking for – therefore the move has been stopped.
This could set-up a potential swoop for the Gunners who are believed to have enough money to lure the German starlet to the Emirates.
