'Arrow' season 4B news: will Felicity become Oracle in episode 11?

The recently released trailer for episode 10 of "Arrow's" fourth season shows Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) in critical condition. If viewer are to analyze the situation, there is a possibility that Smoak could die, which means it is likely that she'll be in the grave that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) stood upon.

In flashing scenes, the Arrow star was shown shedding a tear and saying, "It's my responsibility. I will kill him." This leads to the speculation that it really is Felicity in the grave and that Queen will soon take revenge.

On the other hand, there are reportedly fans who don't expect Felicity to be killed off so soon. There is no other character who can replace her in the series, given her set of skills. The writers might decide to just paralyze her temporarily and give her some recovery time, but there's also the possibility that she'll make it out without a scratch.

The grave scene could easily be a misdirect, sort of like a magician's assistant, to get the fans' attention and leave them hanging until the 10th episode. After all, this seems similar to the events of the previous season, where Queen was thought to be dead after getting stabbed Ra's al Ghul and kicked off the cliff. Everybody thought it was the end for the hero, but after the holiday break, Queen was very much alive.

Viewers can also reportedly expect some twists in episode 10. There have been rumors pointing to Felicity's transformation into the Oracle. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim posted a teaser for fans in his Tumblr account in November. In his post, Guggenheim told one fan that Felicity's codename contains the letter "A," which fits very well into the Oracle theory. The post also stated that the name will appear in episode 11 of season 4.

These are all but mere speculations, as nothing has been confirmed by anyone from the show. "Arrow" season 4 will resume on Jan. 20.
