Ever since the sixth season of "American Horror Story" premiered, fans have been wondering what character will Evan Peters play. So far, however, Peters has not shown up on screen. So who exactly is he this season?

According to reports, there have been a handful of theories and speculations surrounding Peters' character. One popular opinion claims that Peters is actually the Piggy Man. It can be recalled that Piggy Man was the subject of an urban legend from season 1 of "American Horror Story." Donning the head of a pig and the body of a man, this so-called creature was the fear of one particular character played by Eric Stonestreet.

Now, five seasons later, a footage of a man wearing the head of a pig was seen by the main characters, Matt and Shelby. Since co-creator Ryan Murphy has said that all seasons are connected, this does not come as a surprise. However, fans believe that Piggy Man is actually played by Peters, mostly due to some circumstantial evidence. Peters apparently posted the photo of a pig's head on his Instagram page and fans have argued that the actor has the same body type as that of the creature featured in season 6.

Others are under the impression, though, that Peters may be playing a Mott ancestor. For those who are unaware, Mott was the last name of a character, Dandy, who was featured in "American Horror Story: Freak Show." This theory mainly stems from a photo that Peters posted, which showed him sporting red hair, a trademark trait of the Mott family.

One thing is for sure, though: Peters is somewhere in season 6. He could be playing the Piggy Man, a relative of Dandy Mott's, or a new character entirely. But since he has been confirmed to be in the current season, fans can only wait until his appearance.

Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of "American Horror Story: Roanoke" is rumored to be the most frightening one yet. Lady Gaga's witch character is set to wreak havoc once again, while the Piggy Man may play a much larger role in the episode.
