AMD Radeon RX 570 news, update: Samsung Notebook Odyssey to utilize AMD Radeon RX 570

Since last month, AMD has launched a handful of details about its latest Ryzen graphics card. The tech giant, however, has yet to reveal the details of the upcoming installment of the Radeon RX500 series.

Although AMD has remained mum about the upcoming Radeon RX 570, the company's partners, which are utilizing their latest graphics card, have given the tech industry a heads-up on the product. Samsung, for one, has revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which was held earlier this month, that its new Odyssey Notebook will be using the graphics card.

According to a Reddit user who attended the CES 2017 event, which was once again held in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Odyssey Notebook's specs listed the chip under its specs section. Aside from the AMD chip, the Notebook will also feature the NVIDIA GTX 1070. Hence, the tech enthusiasts on the forum suspect that the upcoming AMD RX 570 could more or less feature the same power as the NVIDIA chip.

The RX 570 will be powering the Notebook Odyssey, which will have a seventh-generation Intel Core processor, with 64 GB DDR4 memory.

According to iTech Post, the RX 500 series is an upgraded version of its previous RX 400 series, and that the AMD Radeon RX 570 is actually an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version of a previous version, the RX 470.

It is not the first time that AMD's partners unintentionally revealed details of their latest chip. Previously, Lenovo mentioned that the RX 560 was going to be powering its Y520 laptop.

The latest details about the AMD Radeon RX 570 have yet to be revealed by the company. They also haven't responded to the latest reports involving Samsung's reveal at CES 2017. Hence, the latest reports should be treated as speculation until proven otherwise.

More updates are expected to roll out in the weeks to come.
