'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' season 3 spoilers: Constance Zimmer cast lands villain role, Blair Underwood is new series regular

One of the most anticipated Marvel shows this fall is the third installment of "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which ended on a crucial cliffhanger. Jemma was gobbled up by a shape-shifting Kree stone while agent Melinda went on a much-needed vacation with her ex-husband, Andrew. What will happen in season three?
After S.H.I.E.L.D's battle with Jiaying, agent Coulson will attempt to search everywhere for people endowed with superpowers. He will also assemble a team that has extraordinary abilities in order to track these superhumans. However, director Coulson will soon realize he is not the only agency hunting down Inhumans.
Entertainment Weekly exclusively reported that actress, Constance Zimmer, known for her roles in "Entourage" and "UnREAL," has been cast in the upcoming third season in a villainous role.
The heavily recurring role will see her play the head of a mysterious new government agency that will clash with S.H.I.E.L.D's hunt for the Inhumans. She is slated to be the major antagonist of the season, working directly opposite Coulson. Zimmer will be seen in the season's premiere episode.
But the brunette damsel is not the only villain on the show. "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D" will host a variety of villainous characters from the Secret Warriors comic book series. At Comic-Con, the show's panel also teased Lash, another Inhuman character, who is set to appear in the upcoming season.
Moreover, those fans who liked Andrew will be pleased to know that the actor playing his role, Blair Underwood, has been upped to a series regular role, reported Variety. The neurologist and forensic psychologist will be seen in almost all episodes of the Marvel show. Actor, Luke Mitchell, who plays Inhuman Lincoln Campbell has also been promoted to a series regular role.
While Jemma's fate is an enigma, the fact that actress, Elizabeth Henstridge, who plays her part, was present at the Comic-Con panel may mean that she is still alive — in some form or the other.
"Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." season three premieres on Sept. 29, 2015 on ABC.
