German tuning firm AC Schnitzer is known for producing custom styling and performance packages for BMW vehicles. Just recently, the company has unveiled the ACS BMW 150d hatchback. The AC Schnitzer-tuned vehicle is also showcased at the 2015 Essen Motor Show.

The AC Schnitzer BMW 150d is powered by the same 3.0-liter inline-six tri-turbo diesel engine that powers the BMW 5-Series M550d. The engine was tuned to produce 394 horsepower and 591 lb-ft of torque. The AC Schnitzer tuned engine produces 20 more ponies and 45 lb-ft more torque compared to the stock M550d engine. Thus, the 1 Series hatchback can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.5 seconds. It can also attain a top speed of 155 mph.

AC Schnitzer can also equip the BMW 150d hatchback with different powertrains to suit the needs of each customer. Using engines ranging from the 114i to the 135i, power outputs will range from 151 horsepower to 375 horsepower.

The three-door hatchback was also given shorter sport springs and new exhaust tailpipes for enhanced ride quality.

The ACS BMW 150d also comes with a chrome front grille, a front splitter, carbon fiber mirror covers and a roof-mounted rear spoiler. The hatchback is equipped with large 20-inch alloy wheels with 235 mm front tires and 300 mm rear tires. The tuned BMW 150d can also be equipped with 18-inch and 19-inch wheels if customers prefer it. There will also be different wheel designs to choose from.

Inside the powerful 150d hatchback, the cabin comes with aluminum accents and pedals. There are also new floor mats and a new custom gear knob.

The AC Schnitzer BMW 150d is currently on display at the 2015 Essen Motor Show in Germany. Customers interested in purchasing the AC Schnitzer BMW 150d should contact the German firm for pricing information and other pertinent details. Unfortunately, the ACS BMW 150d is not street-legal for the United States.
