The all-new 2016 Nissan Sentra was unveiled during the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The best-selling compact sedan was given a revised exterior appearance, refreshed interiors and the latest safety features for the 2016 model year.

"The 2016 Sentra's new exterior adds a sense of sportiness to the refined style and proportions, as well as adding a strong connection to the Nissan sedan and crossover family," said Shiro Nakamura, SVP and CCO of Nissan.

The 2016 Sentra now reflects Nissan's new design language which is also evident in the new 2016 Maxima and the redesigned 2016 Altima.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra now looks more premium and distinct. The compact sedan comes with a bolder V-Motion front fascia, including a new grille, fenders, hood and Nissan's signature boomerang headlights. It also looks upscale and refined with its chrome accents. There is an option for heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Higher trims also get LED headlights and forked five-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an advanced Xtronic CVT transmission that produces 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft. The base S model can be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Inside the sedan, interiors have also been refreshed. The cabin is spacious, thanks to a longer wheelbase. The interiors also feature high-quality and soft-touch materials. There is a new steering wheel, center cluster design, console and shifter knob. Higher trim grades also get a 6-way power driver's seat with power lumbar support. The Nissan Sentra also gets a new TFT LCD flat panel display with Siri Eyes Free Voice Recognition.

Driver aids include intelligent cruise control, forward emergency braking, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert.

For 2016, the sedan gets a new exterior paint color – Blue Pearl. Other color options include Red Alert (SR only), Brilliant Silver, Super Black, Aspen White, Gun Metallic, Graphite Blue, Titanium, Cayenne Red and Fresh Powder.

The 2016 Nissan Sentra arrives at U.S. dealers this December and prices starts at $16,780. Pricing information will be announced at a later date.
