'19 Kids And Counting' news: another baby shower for Jill; Jana leaves show for higher education, Anna shares her baby's ultrasound
The Duggars are a wonderful clan that are continually blessed with abundant children. However, one Duggar isn't setting her sights on marriage or children for the time being. Jana Duggar, the eldest of the 19 children of Jim Bob and Michelle, is leaving "19 Kids And Counting" in order to pursue higher education. OK! Magazine reports that the 25-year-old babysitter of the Duggar family is applying to Christian colleges and wants to move out of her family nest.
While Jana is happy to take care of her siblings and be a midwife to her sisters, she also wants to explore her interests and be successful doing what she enjoys. The eldest Duggar daughter has been instrumental in taking care of her younger siblings, helping her parents out by doing chores and babysitting. However, she feels this isn't a life of her choosing. A source told the magazine that her father Jim Bob isn't too happy with her decision and is reportedly trying to talk her out of it.
Meanwhile, Jill Duggar, who is just a few weeks away from her March 24 due date, was treated to a baby shower on Derick's birthday at the Olive Garden restaurant, reports Daily Mail. A beaming Jill sat beside Derick who was standing and addressing a group of friends for his 26th birthday. The couple residing in Arkansas shared several pictures of the baby shower-cum-birthday on their social media accounts. Derick received presents that included a "You Can Do This Dad" onesie for the baby and a book called "The Baby Owner's Manual".
Anna Duggar, Josh's wife, is also welcoming her fourth child, a baby girl, sometime in June. Anna took to Instagram to share her child's ultrasound picture but also utilized the opportunity to talk about abortion. OK! Magazine reports that she posted a video supporting her anti-abortion stance along with Josh.
