WWE rumors: Shinsuke Nakamura lined up to face John Cena at June live event
By now, everyone has probably heard that John Cena will be officially back by "Memorial Day" and it remains to be seen who he will be facing. But rumors are now swirling that he could be facing someone from the NXT brand, new recruit Shinsuke Nakamura.
The match will take place at a live event in Hawaii on June 29, somehow sending feelers that this may not be a big push for Nakamura. But then again, no one knows.
Seeing that this matchup could be nothing more than a practice bout, it could also be a measure to gauge how Nakamura can keep up with one of the WWE's biggest stars. If the bout gains ample feedback, there could be a chance that this could go beyond that live event billing.

For the record, Nakamura is one of the WWE's biggest acquisitions from the New Japan Pro Wrestling circuit. He is a no-nonsense wrestler so there could be a chance a feud may develop in the event that he gets a bump from NXT to the main roster.
There is no telling when that would be done but WWE fans have seen the invasion of some NXT stars such as Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Neville. All have done fairly well under the developmental brand so seeing Nakamura follow at some point is not farfetched.
For Cena, this is another match to determine how well he truly is. Everyone knows that Cena is coming off a shoulder injury and the gritty Nakamura should be a tough hombre to handle. Could that be enough to see Nakamura winning over Cena even it is just a live event?
If one follows the storylines, this match will likely see a win by Cena over Nakamura. A loss would likely spur up some hints of a possible feud, something that fans may want to see.
Aside from Cena and Nakamura, also facing off are Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar, another dream match that many have been eagerly awaiting.
