WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 rumors: Chris Jericho to have an impact in Universal title match?
Chris Jericho will likely be involved in whatever happens to the feud of Universal champion Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, even in their title match at "Hell in a Cell."
As of the moment, Jericho is already involved but he may soon have a greater impact to the rivalry.
In the past few weeks, Jericho helped his so-called bestfriend Owens fend off Rollins, who is aiming to win the belt for the first time in his career.
This Sunday, Rollins has another chance to do that inside the Hell in a Cell.
Before this week's "Monday Night Raw," there were speculations that Jericho will be announced as the special guest referee in the Hell in a Cell match between Owens and Rollins for the Universal title. If this happened, he certainly will have a huge impact in the outcome of the match.
However, even if this did not take place, Jericho may still have an impact since he is expected to interfere to assist his buddy in retaining the gold.
This already occurred at "Clash of Champions" back in September, where "Y2J" distracted Rollins to help Owens walk out victorious.
But there is also a possibility that the Owens-Rollins feud ends at "Hell in a Cell."
Recently, Jericho and Owens are having issues with their friendship and this might give birth to a new matchup featuring the two.
If this is the direction the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is going, a potential scenario is for Jericho to cause Owens the championship.
Everything that Jericho might do will affect not just the match at "Hell in a Cell," but also the entire feud between Owens and Rollins.
All of this will be determined after "Hell in a Cell" and in the next few weeks to come. For now, Jericho and Owens' alliance remains strong heading to Sunday's event.
