WWE Hall of Fame 2016 rumors: John Bradshaw Layfield's induction not happening this year?
Together with WrestleMania season is the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and one of the inductees named was former champion John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), although there is a report saying that his induction is not taking place this 2016.
JBL was among the names listed as an inductee in this year's ceremony, but there is a possibility that he is not joining the sport's legends yet.
Last week, it was revealed that Charles Wright aka The Godfather, will be entering the Hall of Fame this 2016.
The honor of inducting The Godfather was given to The Acolytes Protection Agency or A.P.A., the tag team of JBL and Hall of Famer Ron Simmons (Farooq).
This means JBL is unlikely getting inducted in this year's Hall of Fame since he will be the one inducting a legend.
JBL began working for the WWE back in 1995 when it was still known as World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and received the biggest push of his career during the Ruthless Agression era.
In that time, the 49-year-old wrestler won the WWE championship and the U.S. championship, while having rivalries with the likes of John Cena, Eddie Guerrero, The Undertaker, Booker T, and Rey Mysterio.
JBL's WWE championship reign is still considered the longest in WWE SmackDown's history.
Currently, JBL is a color commentator on Monday Night Raw along with Michael Cole and Byron Saxton. They are also the main commentators for every WWE pay-per-view (PPV).
Along with The Godfather and JBL, other reported inductees this year in the WWE Hall of Fame are Sting, The Fabulous Freebirds, renowned television personality Regis Philbin, and Jacqueline Moore.
Like in the recent years, the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place the night before WrestleMania 32, which will be held on Apri. 3. This year, the ceremony will be held at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.
