'WWE 2K17' rumors: Why The Undertaker makes sense as the game's next cover star
Later this year, wrestling fans can look forward to getting their hands on "WWE 2K17." But who can they expect to see on the cover when they finally have the chance to buy the game?
There's certainly more than a few worthy candidates to choose from, but the most sensible choice to be the upcoming game's cover star may be none other than The Undertaker.
The Undertaker is a revered figure in the wrestling world. He's been a fixture of the pro wrestling scene for a long time, won numerous titles and he even authored the most impressive winning streak in "Wrestlemania" history.
At this point, the list of pro wrestlers with more decorated careers than The Undertaker runs fairly short, but his accomplishments alone are not the only reasons why he makes sense as the game's next cover star.
Rumors surrounding The Undertaker also suggest that he is nearing the end of his pro wrestling career and naming him as the cover star of "WWE 2K17" could be one way to pay tribute to his impressive list of accomplishments.
As What Culture suggested, the upcoming game may also provide a good opportunity to remind fans of what The Undertaker has managed to accomplish throughout his career in the form of a dedicated Showcase mode.
"WWE 2K16" already dedicated a Showcase mode to Stone Cold Steve Austin, so creating another one focused on another WWE Superstar is not out of the question.
Still, The Undertaker being named as the cover star for the next game is by no means guaranteed.
If not him, the game's developers could decide to feature the polarizing Roman Reigns or perhaps even former UFC Heavyweight Champion turned part-time WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar.
More news about "WWE 2K17" and its cover star should be made available in the future.
