'Wentworth' season 5 spoilers, news: Allie kills Ferguson? Liam Hemsworth joining cast?
"Wentworth" has already been renewed for a fifth season, but many fans are wondering how the show will carry on without its main character, Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack). It can be recalled that Bea was on the receiving end of a brutal stabbing perpetrated by Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe).
Even though "Wentworth" has a whole slew of interesting characters, everything seemed to pivot around Bea's story. Without her, fans are wondering what the show will be like. Many believe that the show will now shift its focus to Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson), Bea's lover. It can be recalled that it was because of Allie that Bea stood up to Ferguson, which eventually led to her death.
There is some talk that season 5 may see Allie and Ferguson going head-to-head, with the former seeking revenge against the latter. Speculations are rife that Allie might murder Ferguson in the first episode of the upcoming season.
Rumor also has it that Bea may return for season 5 after all. Of course, it remains to be seen how this will be done, if the rumors are true, since her death was clearly depicted in the fourth season.
So who will be brought in to fill the void left by Bea? According to hearsay, Liam Hemsworth may be joining the Australian drama series. Hemsworth, known for his roles in "The Hunger Games" and "Independence Day: Resurgence," has yet to confirm the speculations.
If Hemsworth does end up signing on for the fifth season, though, it is believed that he will play Allie's new love interest. The Australian actor is quite popular and his inclusion in the series will surely bring in new viewers.
However, since nothing has been officially confirmed at this point, it would be best to take this news with a grain of salt for now.
"Wentworth" season 5 has yet to receive a premiere date.
