Vivo X6 rumors point toward split screen and fast charging
As Vivo has been teasing the launch of the X6, many details about the smartphone have surfaced including a fast charging feature. While the details about fast charging were made available in official teasers, there have been other rumors of the device coming with Force Touch technology.
Force Touch technology is only available on three smartphones so far, the Huawei Mate S and the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus from Apple, and its presence on the Vivo X6 has not been confirmed so far.
Reporting on the inclusion of fast charging, GSMArena states that the teaser pointed toward two "charging chips" being included, which will ultimately result in battery levels being topped up faster. However, if the VOOC charging technology from Oppo is used on the Vivo X6, the device could charge faster than other smartphones like the Galaxy S6 which comes with the Fast Charge solution from Samsung.
Coming to the rumor about the split screen, a teaser released by Vivo showed that the feature will allow users to open up two apps simultaneously and work on them. This will no doubt lessen the time taken to complete tasks, but it also gives the device a nice edge in terms of productivity.
Other features in the device include a fingerprint reader that can capture the input from users in any position and it is expected to be used with mobile payments and for unlocking the phone. Finally coming to specs, the Vivo X6 is expected to come with 4 GB RAM and a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset which is thought to have 10 cores. As for the display on the device, it is expected to measure about 6 inches.
Meanwhile, it is clear that Vivo is gearing up to launch the X6 on Nov. 30 and the device was also spotted as it was certified by TENNA for the Chinese market.
