Tension rises between two vampire factions in the upcoming episode 7, titled "For Me," of the first season of the American dark fantasy action-adventure series "Van Helsing."

According to reports, the upcoming episode will see Vanessa (Kelly Overton) and Axel (Jonathan Scarfe) take the lead to the hospital's last stand against a siege, which was started by Julius (Aleks Paunovic) and his vampire soldiers. Meanwhile, Dmitri (Paul Johansson) suddenly appears with his vampire underlings called "Death Squad." Because of his arrival, it could mean that a civil war may erupt between the two vampire factions.

The promo trailer for "Van Helsing" season 1's "For Me" shows Vanessa and the group do the best they could to respond to the siege. However, another bigger trouble is looming on the horizon. Dmitri's sudden arrival surprises the other Vampire group.

In other news, Syfy network recently announced that the dark fantasy series will be renewed for a second season. According to Deadline, the upcoming sophomore run will be getting 13 episodes and production is set to start sometime in January 2017.

"We have a wonderful and terrifying road ahead planned for Vanessa, her allies and her enemies," showrunner Neil LaBute said in a statement. "I think this is a world and a story that can be sustained for many years and I am inspired to do so thanks to Syfy's obvious trust and commitment in the storytellers, cast and crew."

In a previous interview with Blastr, LaBute was asked whether Vanessa's search for her missing daughter motivates her to keep on moving in the bleak world. The showrunner revealed that it is her missing daughter that "drives her throught season 1." Although she has the ability to save anyone, her main goal is not protecting the greater good but to just find her child.
