Michael Bay has successfully directed all "Transformers" films, but "Transformers 5" might be his last movie for the franchise.

In a Rolling Stone interview, Bay said that it was fun directing all five "Transformers" movies and that he has put a lot of work into it. However, he said that it's time for him to pass the baton.

He also mentioned his conversation with J.J. Abrams wherein the latter told him that he (Bay) is the only one who can do it, to which he replied that it's time to move on after this.

Hasbro President Stephen J. Davis has recently confirmed that they are planning to add four more sequels to the series. The upcoming films will span over a decade.

Davis said that "Transformers 5" is coming as well as 6, 7, and 8. He also said that fans will see a new "Transformers."

Meanwhile, reports also say that "Transformers 5" will start filming in May, while the principal photography will take place in Detroit, Michigan this summer.

Michigan was also the main setting of the previous "Transformers" movies because of the great tax incentives it has given to the movie.

Lee Rosenthal, who is the president of the Physical Production at Paramount Studios, said in a report in Variety that Michigan has always been very welcoming of the cast and crew of the film. He also added that using the city once again for the latest "Transformers" installment is such a thrill.

Mark Wahlberg will be returning to reprise his role as Cade Yeager, but Akiva Goldsman, who wrote all the previous sequels, won't be returning as the writer as he will be supervising the writing teams for "G.I. Joe" and "Micronauts."

In place of Goldsman will be Art Macum and Matt Holloway, who wrote the screenplay for "Iron Man," and Ken Nolan of "Black Hawk Down" fame.
