Undeniably, "Train to Busan" is one of the most successful South Korean movies that took the world by storm. With this, it is not really surprising why fans have clamored for a sequel to the said Korean horror-thriller. However, the latest in the rumor mill is that the producers are not only giving the fans a sequel but will also run on a storyline that the fans have been clamoring for: finding the cure to zombie-turned individuals.

Because of "Train to Busan's" success, fans have not only demanded that a sequel be made to the movie but also pitched various plots for it. However, there is no denying that one of the most popular ideas that has been pitched in is the finding of the cure to those individuals who have been infected by the virus that turned the characters into zombies in the movie.

It seems that the producers have, indeed, heeded the call of the fans as it is now reported that "Train to Busan 2" will, indeed, be about finding the cure to the zombies. Rumors claiming that the sequel will be about finding the cure for the zombies have even been bolstered when the official Instagram account of "Train to Busan" announced that the sequel is already underway and was followed by a hashtag #TheCure.

According to reports, "Train to Busan 2" will cast the spotlight on Seok-woo's (Gong Yoo) daughter, Soo an (Kim Soo-Ahn), who will be featured as the adult version of the character in the sequel. The actress who will portray the grown-up version of the character remains unknown, though.

Allegedly, despite already a grown-up, Soo-an will still be haunted by the harrowing experience she and her father had on that fateful day while they were aboard the train to Busan. As the zombies continue to plague humanity, Soo-an is said to be bent on finding a cure to the virus and will team up with other people, in order to save humanity from extinction.

There are also allegations claiming that "Train to Busan 2" will feature Sang-hwa's (Ma Dong-Seok) life as a zombie, although some believe that he could have survived the attack because of his strong will on not becoming one.

Will "Train to Busan 2" really feature a cure for the zombies? Did Sang-hwa survive the attack?

Fans can only guess for now.
