While there is still no confirmation yet whether Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange character is, indeed, appearing on "Thor: Ragnarok," the latest in the rumor mill is that the Sorcerer Supreme may find himself at odds with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in the movie.

It is said that "Thor: Ragnarok" will be one of the most important movies for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as it may feature the destruction of Asgard, Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) home world. In fact, the movie may be just as grand as "The Avengers" because of the presence of other popular Marvel superheroes in it, such as Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Doctor Strange.

While the inclusion of Hulk in the movie has already been confirmed some months ago, the same thing cannot be said about Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange as everything about the inclusion of the said character in the movie is based on assumptions.

Rumors on the inclusion of Doctor Strange in "Thor: Ragnarok" grew louder when on-the-set photos of the movie surfaced online. In the said photos, Thor and Loki are seen wearing civilian clothes walking on the make-believe streets of New York. However, eagle-eyed fans were able to unlock what's written on the piece of paper that Thor is holding: 177A Bleecker Street, the address of Doctor Strange. With this, suspicions on the Sorcerer Supreme's inclusion in the movie have become persistent.

While it was earlier reported that Doctor Strange would help Thor, Loki, and their father, Odin, return to their home world, the latest in the rumor mill is that Loki and Doctor Strange may even find themselves in a tussle over an Infinity Stone.

As of this writing, it is not confirmed whether Doctor Strange will really be a part of "Thor: Ragnarok," although hints point to the affirmative. As to how important his appearance in the movie will be, fans can only keep on guessing.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is slated to arrive in theaters in November next year, while Cumberbatch's solo "Doctor Strange" movie is scheduled for release this Nov. 4.
