'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers: Identity of Negan's victim doesn't matter, new trailer out at SDCC 2016
Fans who just love spoilers have invested so much time trying to figure out who died in the hands of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in "The Walking Dead's" season 6 finale.
Although the cast and crew have maintained their silence well, fans just keep digging and making up their own predictions. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who Negan's victim is may not be so important after all citing three reasons as to why.
According to the publication, the death of a much loved character will only lead to the same result – it will have a profound effect on the rest of the major characters. It also doesn't matter who got to meet barbed wire-covered baseball bat Lucille face to face because "The Walking Dead" has always been a show about death and no one is safe from being killed off.
Even those who shout that they will riot if the favorite Daryl (Norman Reedus) gets killed won't matter because Reedus himself acknowledges the fact that not even his character has immunity.
If the identity of Negan's victim gets revealed sooner, the story doesn't end there and it won't be the last of Negan's kill because he is set to induce fear and cause more trouble for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his team.
Since the biggest mystery of season 7 won't be revealed until the return of the series, fans will just have to wait. More details about season 7 might just be given at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, which kicks off on July 21.
It remains to be seen what will be featured at the show's panel but a trailer is one that fans are expecting. MoviePilot speculates that this brand new trailer might feature a new community called The Kingdom, governed by a man everyone calls King Ezekiel. Also, Negan and his men might also make an appearance, as well as Rick and his team of survivors.
"The Walking Dead" season 7 returns to AMC in October.
