It is only a couple months until the ninth season of "The Voice" premieres and news about the reality singing contest have started to surface. And based on the reports, there is no denying that the upcoming season would truly be an exciting one.

For one, the ever lovely Gwen Stefani has confirmed that she is going to be one of the judges in the upcoming season. In an interview, she expressed how excited she is to return to the show, "I'm coming back and am so excited! I can't believe I get to return to The Voice. It's so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I'm looking forward to working again with Adam (Levine, Blake (Shelton) and Pharell (Williams). I love those guys," said the pop star.

Fans are undoubtedly excited about Stefani's reintroduction to the show, however, her return means only one thing and that is, one judge will be saying goodbye.

Christina Aguillera is taking a break from her coaching job on "The Voice" and people are asking if this "break" she is taking is for good. Thankfully, a source in an article by Us Weekly has confirmed that her absence is nothing but a brief hiatus. The source said, "Christina is going to be back for The Voice season 10 and has already signed her contract. She has been very vocal about not doing season 9 to take a break to spend time with her family and kids."

While the news of Stefani returning is exciting enough, it seems like another former celebrity involved in "The Voice" would be making an appearance. The same report revealed that Carson Daly announced his return to the show and even gave his two cents about "The Voice's" rotating judges format.

"I think we were scared by it at first because, you know, whenever there was a panel change at [American] Idolor another show I think the public thought that meant there was trouble in paradise," he said.

"We always felt like we had A-list artists who need to tour. We actually liked fresh blood; we thought it changed up each season. We're on twice a year too, so it just changes things up a little bit, and look at what we've gotten! CeeLo [Green] is awesome, then we got Usher, now Pharrell," added the TV host.

The ninth season of NBC's "The Voice" will premiere on Sept. 21, 2015.
