The eighth season of "The Real Housewives of New York" is turning out to be one of the best seasons so far. There are more real and heartfelt moments this season, although they are soon eclipsed by whatever drama is fueling the episode.

Episode 7 had one such moment when Skinny Girl mogul Bethenny Frankel learned that her fellow housewife Sonja Morgan named her new business Tipsy Girl. This naturally upset Bethenny as she was the one who showed Sonja the ropes. The two talked about Sonja's business when she arrived at Bethenny's office, but the latter was soon reading her the riot act, causing Sonja to break down in tears. She told Bethenny that she looked up to her as a mentor and that she didn't meant to hurt or copy her business.

Nobody seems to believe Sonja's explanation though, least of all Bethenny. The businesswoman described the situation as sad and wrote in her RHONY blog that it gives audience the false impression that it's easy to create a brand or business simply by going on TV. She also said she sympathizes with Sonja and hopes "she can find her truth somewhere in the process."

Interestingly, Sonja's new BFF, Luann de Lesseps, also didn't buy her explanation regarding the Tipsy Girl name and says it was disingenuous for her to say she didn't notice the similarity between the two brands.

The Sonja drama doesn't appear to be over yet as episode 8, "All the Countess' Men," will reportedly see Bethenny engaged in a major confrontation with Luann over the revelation that not only is she living with Sonja but she's also mentoring her. The episode will also see the 45-year-old Frankel hosting a holiday gift exchange party, with a trip to the Berkshires the main topic of the evening. Meanwhile, Dorinda Medley gives Sonja some disappointing news while Luann introduces her new boyfriend to Dorinda and Jules. The women will reportedly also uncover that Ramona and Luann's new man share a past.

Episode 8 of "The Real Housewives of New York" will air on Bravo TV on May 25 at 9 p.m.
