'The Fosters' season 4 spoilers: Nick shows up in school with a gun in premiere
ABC's family drama "The Fosters" returns on the small screen with season 4 three weeks from now. The season premiere episode, titled "Potential Energy," will show Nick with a gun in school.
Foster mothers Stef and Lena are called by the school after it was put on lockdown when Mariana's boyfriend Nick brought a gun inside the premises of the campus.
The upcoming season will resume to where it ended last season. It starts with Callie admitting to her moms that she dated Brandon in the past. However, before the mothers even begin to fathom what their daughter just said, they are informed that the school where their children attend to is on "Code Blue" lockdown. After seeing Mariana kissing her ex-boyfriend Mat, Nick shows up with his father's gun.
Meanwhile, actor Hayden Byerly dished out to Enstarz the struggles of his LGBT character Jude. He said, "He'll continue to struggle with his balance between being religious and gay, and he'll try to find who he is and he's still going to struggle accepting who he is and come to terms with that. So we'll see that in the beginning right out of the gate actually and probably throughout most of the season."
The death of his friend Jack will also affect Jude and his continuous mourning will be seen in the fourth season, Byerly revealed. Meanwhile, his character's relationship with Connor was also tackled in the interview. However, the actor said that he is not exactly sure whether Connor will come back to town or not, after he was written to have left the town.
"Gavin has said that he's moved on to other things," Byerly revealed. "But as for myself and the writers and everyone else, [we] said that he's welcome to come back."
"The Fosters" season 4 premieres on Monday, June 20, at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
