'The Flash' season 3 spoilers, premiere news: two new speedsters including Keiynan Lonsdale's Kid Flash

(Facebook/CWTheFlash)"The Flash" season 3 will introduce two new speedsters, including Kid Flash.

The Internet is abuzz with the grand unveiling of Wally West as Kid Flash in "The Flash" season 3. New photos show Keiynan Lonsdale in costume and ready to go for the new season. But aside from this momentous occasion, another speedster has also been making waves online.

The official first look at Lonsdale's Wally in Kid Flash form boasts the character geared up in his yellow and red costume. Wally was struck by the same energy that gave Barry (Grant Gustin) his powers, and although it initially did not seem like he was going to get the same super speed, it's definitely clear as day now. DC Comics notes that the costume seen in the photo closely resembles the one seen in comic books.

On the other hand, Screen Crush has compiled photos taken on the set of "The Flash" and while some of them see Lonsdale in costume as Kid Flash, others showcase a new character in black. Fans have been going crazy over the possibility of Reverse Flash being thrown into the mix come the third season. Since the premiere episode's title — "Flashpoint" — already gives away a major plot point, it would not come as a surprise if this black-costumed speedster turns out to be the Reverse Flash.

The comic event series from which it was based, "Flashpoint" tells the story of how Barry Allen changed the course of history after going back in time to stop his mother from being killed. It is unknown how closely the show will follow the comic, but one thing is for certain — things will not be the same.

In other news, it was previously reported that "Harry Potter" alum Tom Felton had joined the cast of The CW series in a regular role. Felton will be bringing a character named Julian Dorn to life on the small screen. Dorn is a CSI at the Central City Police Department, and since no one by that name may be found in the comics, fans are excited to see just how he will play into the story.

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on Oct. 4, Tuesday, on The CW.
