'The Fate of the Furious' release date, news: Breyan Isaac talks about the film's music
Music is an integral part of a film's success as it influences the emotion and mood, and the massive "Fast and Furious" franchise is no stranger to such mechanism. As such, songwriter Breyan Isaac is tapped to create music that equals the gravity of "The Fate of the Furious."
In an interview with Songwriter Universe, Isaac talks about the development of the film's music. He says that he is particularly ecstatic with the one he's creating for the franchise.
"I'm really excited about some other cuts, too," Isaac says. "There's a song coming out with Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott and Quavo (from the group, Migos) that's going to be the theme song for 'Fast & Furious 8.' That will be a single out in March, or close to when the movie comes out in April."
Isaac is responsible for co-writing several hits such as Flo Rida's "Whistle," Pitbull and Kesha's "Timber," and Charlie Puth's mellow "One Call Away." It will be interesting to see what he comes up with to match what could possibly be the biggest installment yet in the "Fast and Furious" franchise.
It can be recalled that the soundtrack for "Fast and Furious 7" made a mark and was arguably one of most memorable, considering its timing. Wiz Kalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" drew tears from the audience as Paul Walker drove away, so it will be curious to see how Isaac plans to top that.
The trailer for the upcoming film shows that it is going to be very dramatic as it pits what used to be a family against each other. Dom (Vin Diesel) has been seduced to a life of crime once more by a mysterious woman (Charlize Theron), and now the gang needs more help to bring her down and hopefully, bring Dom back.
"The Fate of the Furious" races to cinemas on April 14.
