"Teen Wolf" season 6 will soon hit the small screen once again, but there is excitement filling the set as rumors say that One Direction member Harry Styles will replace Dylan O'Brien.

Those who have been following the updates of "Teen Wolf" know that O'Brien got involved in an accident while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" where he is the main character.

In a report on Entertainment Weekly, 20th Century Fox has temporarily halted production on the film to give the actor enough time to heal and recover. It was initially reported that filming would resume on May 9, but it seems it has been further delayed.

This fueled rumors and speculations that MTV has begun talks with Styles asking him to replace O'Brien in the meantime. Further rumors surfaced, saying that O'Brien's role as Stiles Stilinski might not be a part of "Teen Wolf" season 6 or it might be "put on hold" until he recovers.

Meanwhile, actress Melissa Ponzio, who plays Melissa McCall in the series, and showrunner Jeff Davis teased fans on what to expect in the next season of their favorite series.

Ponzio says that the next season will be filled with a lot of excitement, high drama, confusion, and a mixture of other emotions. She also added that the characters will heavily rely more on each other as they deal with loss.

Showrunner Davis, on the other hand, says that "Teen Wolf" season 6 will focus more on friendship. He said it will begin with Stiles and Scott (Tyler Posey) as they discover a dead body in the woods, a situation that will test their friendship as well as their loyalty.

Aside from that, the showrunner also hinted that season 6 will have a time jump, as well as a major change. According to rumors, the time jump will have a span of three years. As to the major change Davis is referring to, he did not give further information on whether it has something to do with Styles replacing O'Brien or not.
