'Teen Wolf' season 6 premiere, cast rumors: Dylan O'Brien not returning for new season?
Following the conclusion of "Teen Wolf" season five and the recent accident that Dylan O'Brien encountered, Stiles Stilinski's fate is unsure for season six, especially since the show has not said anything about the actor's return over the past few weeks.
As fans already know, O'Brien was injured while doing a motorcycle stunt on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" in April. While not too many details were revealed back then, it is now believed that the actor might not be able to make it to the sixth installment of "Teen Wolf" as he needs a lot of time to recover.
According to Inquisitr, rumors are emerging that viewers may not see Stiles once the show returns. While his character is very vital in the story's progression, the writers may possibly tweak the plot to somehow take Stiles off the story in the meantime.
O'Brien's publicist, Jennifer Allen, told Entertainment Weekly that the actor incurred serious injuries. "His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover."
Due to O'Brien's condition, the movie's production had to shut down completely as he is the star of the upcoming "Maze Runner" film and without him, the story would have no direction. There is no news regarding his return to the set of "Teen Wolf" as it appears the showrunners are trying to keep quiet on the issue.
Meanwhile, showrunner Jeff Davis talked about the possibilities in the new season. In a recent talk with The Trumpeter's Teen Wolf News, the EP was asked regarding Scott's (Tyler Posey) big reveal in the library.
For starters, Scott somehow revealed himself unintentionally in the school library when an attacker had to be silenced. As expected, some witnesses were on the scene. However, Davis explained that since it's Beacon Hills, Scott's werewolf side probably won't be much of an issue to ponder on.
"There might be a few kids who look at Scott differently, but most will probably chalk it up to 'It's Beacon Hills, dude,'" Davis said.
"Teen Wolf" season six is expected to premiere sometime before the holidays of 2016.
