'Supernatural' season 12 spoilers: Will Crowley get a second chance to rule Hell?
Crowley (Mark Sheppard) will do anything to get back his title as the king of Hell in the upcoming season of "Supernatural."
The CW recently released a video of Sheppard's interview (as per IB Times) on what to expect from his character. The clip also includes scenes from the new installment, where Crowley attempts to convince the demons to support him instead of Lucifer (now played by rock star Rick Springfield). In the teaser, one demon is telling the others that Lucifer does not want to say where he is because he has suspicions that they are being stalked. Crowley then tells the demons that their leader is greatly weakened because of his fight with The Darkness/Amara (Emily Swallow). This, he said, is the reason why Lucifer needs to jump from one host to another.
Although greatly agitated, the demon tells Crowley that as long as Lucifer is out there, they will never follow him. Crowley does not seem to take it negatively. He has already set his mind on taking back his throne. As per previous spoilers, he will find an ally in Castiel (Misha Collins), who also wants revenge. Last season, he let Lucifer use his human body in order to defeat Amara. The fallen angel, however, betrayed Castiel and even used him to make Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) suffer. Crowley is banking on Castiel's anger to defeat his greatest adversary.
"It's a very, very interesting turn I think as we are going into Season 12. There are lots of things that haven't been answered that are going to have to be answered this season. Unfortunately, Lucifer has control over hell again. And, hopefully, we should see this season whether Crowley gets that back," Sheppard shared in the interview.
"Supernatural" returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
