For whatever might be the outcome of the season 5 finale of USA's hit legal drama TV series "Suits," these are all to be blamed or credited to stars Gabriel Macht and Meghan Markle.

In an interview, the actor, who acts as Harvey on the show, told YahooTV.com that he actually connived with Markle, who plays the part of Rachel, in making some crucial changes for the finale.

"There was one scene where it was an outcome of a huge event, and after speaking with Meghan Markle, we agreed that it should go a different way," Macht told the media outlet.

"We all convinced [Aaron] that the way to go was different from what he wrote [although it was an idea he'd originally had in mind]," the actor added. "We were all really excited to see that happen because we think it's better for the show, better for some of the characters, more dramatic."

Markle, on her part, told Yahoo! in a separate interview, that she too had made some requests to Korsh to alter a scene in favor for her character.

The actress recalled how upset she was when she received the script. She immediately phoned the showrunner, who was at that time on her flight from LA, telling him to call her back.

As if that won't be enough, Markle went on to express her dismay to her co-stars telling them that the scene "doesn't make sense" and that she doesn't agree with it.

"I wrote to him like, 'Maybe the scene could be written like this,' and I wrote out this script to him. He laughed and was like, 'What, do you want a staff writing position now?'" she told the publication.

As it turns out, both Markle and Macht's efforts got paid off when Korsh finally agreed to change the scene. Nevertheless, the cast members would love for the fans to see the two alternative endings.

Find out how these events unfold when "Suits" air its season 5 finale on Thursday, March 2 on USA.
