'Suits' Season 5 spoilers: perfect match for Harvey in Dr. Paula Agard; Robert Zane poses problems for Rachel and Mike
"Suits" season four finale had left fans wondering about Donna and Harvey's precarious future as she went on to work with Louis Litt. While Rachel and Mike left fans giddy with glee over their upcoming nuptial, a heartbroken Jessica was forced to reprioritize her life following Jeff Malone's departure.
What can fans look forward to in season five? According to Hollywood Reporter, the legal drama has cast actress Christina Cole as Dr. Paula Agard, a Harvard-educated psychiatrist specializing in high-end corporate consulting. Described as a perfect match for Harvey, the two will play a cat-and-mouse game throughout season five. Her character will debut during season five's premiere episode. While it is unclear if a romantic relationship ensues between Harvey and Paula, what is known is that she will help Harvey deal with his myriad problems, particulalrly issues related to maintaining a distance from romantic relationships, not allowing people to come closer, and abandonment issues.
Creator Aaron Korsh was quizzed about Donna's decision to work with Louis and whether or not she has really forgotten Harvey. He replied, "However, if she was really fully ready to move on, she wouldn't have gone to work for someone within the firm, she would have left. So subconsciously I don't think she's ready to move on and maybe she is hoping this gets Harvey to change his mind or see her in a certain way."
In an interview with TVGuide in March, Korsh has stated that Robert Zane would appear on the show in a legal capacity, but his entrance would spell trouble for Rachel and Mike's relationship. Obviously, Zane isn't too willing to give his daughter away to Mike. Hence, fans may not see a wedding in the upcoming season, as there are rumors of Robert creating a lot of problems for the two.
"Suits" season five premieres on June 24 at 9 p.m. ET on USA Network.
