"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" left fans heartbroken when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) was killed, and seeing his closest friend, Chewbacca, grieve for him brought tears to the eyes of many. Thankfully, the upcoming Han Solo standalone film will see them reunited once more.

While speaking to Variety, Alden Ehrenreich, who is playing the young Han Solo in the "Star Wars" prequel, revealed that Chewbacca will also be appearing. Of course, since the two are seemingly inseparable, this does not come as a surprise.

"I can say that Chewbacca's in the film, although I know that's not a huge spoiler," Ehrenreich said to the publication at the world premiere of "Rules Don't Apply," his film with Warren Beatty.

"He's as much younger as I am in the film. So, I think he's like 190 — or something — years old. I don't think there's a huge growth spurt for him from 190 to 210, so he's probably about the same height," he continued.

Ehrenreich won the highly coveted role of a young Han Solo after screen testing for the part. "My one screen test was on the Millennium Falcon — which was really cool — with Chewbacca," the actor told PEOPLE at the same event. "That was pretty trippy!"

But Chewie isn't the only familiar character fans will get to see once the movie rolls around. Lando Calrissian was first seen in "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and was originally played by Billy Dee Williams. It was previously reported that Donald Glover, who is known for "Atlanta" and "Community," had landed the part of a young Lando in the Han Solo standalone prequel. And Ehrenreich thinks that Glover would do tremendously well in the role.

Both Ehrenreich and Glover have big shoes to fill, but fans seem to have taken well to the casting. The upcoming Han Solo standalone film has yet to be given an official title. It is scheduled to premiere on May 25, 2018.
