"Star Wars: Episode 8" is still a year away, but fans are already wondering what the saga has in store for everyone. For one thing, it can be expected that some lingering questions from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will be answered, including the origins of the Knights of Ren.

The Knights of Ren was briefly introduced in "The Force Awakens" and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren got his fair share of screen time. However, not a lot is known about either of them. According to reports, though, that is all about to change when Episode 8 hits theaters. In a Blu-Ray commentary, director J.J. Abrams revealed that fans will get to know them more in the sequel.

It seems that the story of the Knights of Ren has already been laid out from the beginning, but they were just waiting for the right time to tell it. Moreover, the killing scene that Daisy Ridley's Rey saw in her vision was apparently not of Luke Skywalker's Jedi students, but actually that of a "clan leader." Pablo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm clarified as much when a fan asked him on Twitter.

Another popular rumor is that Obi-Wan Kenobi may make an appearance in "Star Wars: Episode 8." While speaking to Rebel Force Radio, Entertainment Weekly's Anthony Breznican revealed a rumor going around that Lucasfilm isn't "done with Obi-Wan quite yet in the Saga films."

There have been many speculations online as to who Rey's father really is. "The Force Awakens" did not reveal anything about how she is connected to Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker, but Episode 8 is expected to shed more light on that. It was previously reported that Luke's line to Rey, which may be featured in the trailer, may have been leaked.

Apart from that, there is also talk that Rey may be a Kenobi, and Obi-Wan's inclusion in either Episode 8 or Episode 9 might just prove that theory.

However, since nothing can be known for sure at this time, fans should take this news with a grain of salt for now.

The untitled "Star Wars: Episode 8" will premiere on Dec. 15, 2017.
