'Scream' season 2 news: Who will be the killer in 'Scream' season 2?
There were a lot of skeptics when "Scream" was turned into a series. However, the show proved to be a real hit as the show's creators remained true to the original storyline while making it relevant with the times. As "Scream" announced that there will be a season 2, many fans are speculating on who will be the killer in the second season.
Those who have seen season 1 of the show speculate that Emma, the heroine of the story and played by Willa Fitzgerald, may potentially be the killer in season 2 given the things that she went through in the first season. There is a possibility that she would have been traumatized by everything, especially since she saw how her boyfriend got gruesomely murdered, and she might just snap.
Another possible candidate to become the next killer is the bad boy of the show, Kieran Wilcox, played by Amadeus Serafini. What could trigger his killer instinct is revenge for the death of his father, Sheriff Hudson (Jason Wiles), in season 1.
Aside from the two characters, the new killer might be anyone in the cast with their own reason for murder. Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) is also a likely candidate since she can be seen burning letters from Piper (Amelia Rose Blair) before season 1 ends. There are already speculations that she could have helped the killer.
These are just speculations, however, as MTV has already announced that there will be new characters in "Scream 2," making it a possibility as well that the new killer will be a new character.
Some of the new characters will include Zoe (Kiana Lede), a driven and very competitive student with a closely guarded secret; Gustavo Acosta (Santiago Segura), a loner and brooding student with a penchant for comic books about serial killers; Karen Lang (Austin Highsmith), a psychology teacher; and Sheriff Michael Acosta (Anthony Ruivivar), Gustavo's father who is returning to Lakewood.
