Samsung's next phone, codenamed, "Project Lucky," had many fans speculating that it would be the Galaxy S7. The upcoming device has been enjoying the spotlight recently, especially with benchmark results of the said device being leaked.

Now, a new tip has surfaced suggesting that the frame the company will use for their upcoming phone will be magnesium alloy.

The news was first brought to light by the South-Korean website, iNews24, via GSM Arena. It was claimed by the original source that the frame for the Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to be different from the previous model. Samsung had used aluminum for the previous iteration, the Galaxy S6, but this time, the material that the manufacturer will use is said to be magnesium alloy.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is going to be first phone in the Galaxy S series line to come with a full metal body. And the reason for the material change is probably due to the weight.

GSM Arena notes that magnesium is much lighter than aluminum by 65 percent. More importantly, the said material is also reported to be 2.8 times stronger than the previously used frame.

As for the heat absorption of the metal, the source explained that the chances of it getting affected by overheating is less likely. Unlike aluminum, magnesium alloy is pretty ideal in current models of CPUs.

Fans can expect the Samsung Galaxy S7 to be released in the early part of 2016; and more news will probably pop up in the few months before its official unveiling.

Needless to say, since it is still pretty early to jump into conclusion, it's best to take this rumor with a pinch of salt for now and wait for Samsung's official unveiling of the device.
