Rumors and leaks for an upcoming flagship are bound to appear; most especially if the unveiling date of the handset draws near, which is exactly the case of Samsung's much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7. Tech enthusiasts have recently spotted a new leaked image for the back design of the upcoming Galaxy S flagship, which was posted online by famed tipster Evan Blass or commonly known and referred to as @evleaks on Twitter.

It appears like Samsung has decided to keep the glass design of the handset for the upcoming Galaxy S7 handset, as per the photo that was shared by @evleaks. Furthermore, GSM Arena has pointed out that the design of the device is somehow similar to that of the South Korean-based company's previous mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

The source explains that the similarities between the two flagships can be spotted around the edges of the Galaxy S7, which is slightly curved.

In terms of specification, previous benchmark result from AnTuTu have suggested that the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's next-gen chipset, Snapdragon 820, and an integrated Adreno 530 graphic processing unit (GPU). The phone is also set to be backed up by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory capacity.

For its design and other details, the post from AnTuTu had also revealed that the Galaxy S7 will retain the 5.1-inch screen with 2,560 x 1,440 display resolution that is also present in its previous iteration, the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Lastly, the upcoming flagship is set to be equipped with a 12 MP main camera with the company's recently launched in-house lens technology called BRITCELL, as well as a 5 MP front-facing snapper for selfies.

It seems like the Feb. 21 event is now a go as the company has recently sent out their press invites for the event, which will highlight the Samsung Galaxy S7 and other flagships as well like its bigger variant the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, and the premium one, Galaxy S7 Edge Plus.
