'Prison Break' season 6 possible; Michael Scofield will have memory loss?
"Prison Break" hasn't aired its revival season yet, but true fans of the series will be delighted to know that a sixth season is possible.
In a Q&A with the official Prison Break Writers' Twitter account, a fan asked if the story could go beyond season 5. The writers then responded, "We have an ending to the story, but there are always new stories to tell in this world if the demand is there."
Given that the return of the series will surely make "Prison Break" fans happy and that the series will likely rock the ratings, there is that possibility that the show will continue for more seasons. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the production and the network, but this does give hope to those who have always loved the show.
"Prison Break" season 5 will focus more on Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who was presumed dead by everyone. The official trailer has revealed that Michael is alive but is in prison again. His brother, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) sets out to go after him and free him.
While this is an all too familiar plot, fans are looking forward to knowing how Michael has been alive all along. It also remains to be seen what happens to his relationship with his ex, Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), with whom he has a son.
The trailer has given fans what to expect from the revival, but somehow there have been several plot theories circulating online. According to Crossmap, Michael may have lost his memory after having survived aneurysm from season 4. However, this was already debunked by several media outlets. iDigitalTimes reported that the reason why Michael didn't reach out for help is because he knows everyone has moved on without him. Fans will just have to wait for the series to find out the truth of how Michael is alive.
"Prison Break" season 5 is set to have nine episodes and will premiere sometime in spring 2017. The revival series will take the 9 p.m. timeslot on Fox.
