'Power' season 3 news: La La Anthony to reprise her role of LaKeisha; teaser clip hints that Ghost might not be able to get out of the drug business
"Power" fans have a lot to look forward to when the drama series returns in 2016. Aside from continuing the saga of Ghost's bid for legitimacy, the show will also see the return of LaKeisha.
The buzz for "Power" is slowly beginning, as star La La Anthony recently revealed on Twitter that she'll be coming back to reprise her role of LaKeisha. The character was best friends with Tasha (Naturi Naughton), Ghost's wife. However, they had a falling out when they discovered that they were both in love with the same man, Shawn (Sinqua Walls). But with Shawn killed by Kanan (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) last season, it will be interesting to see what LaKeisha does.

The actress had mentioned in a previous interview that the character had so much room to grow and develop, and fans will undoubtedly be seeing that in season 3. It's been reported that a new romance might even be in the cards for LaKeisha in the form of Julio (J.R Ramirez).
"Power" revolves around James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) and his quest to leave behind his drug business and finally go legit and leave a normal life with his mistress. Unfortunately, season two clearly showed that Ghost still had a long way to go before he can leave his shady life behind.
The upcoming season will continue to follow Ghost's struggle to leave his past behind. However, a teaser video for "Power" season three hints at that being next to impossible. The short clip asks the question – "can you ever get out?" The text is superimposed with the profiles of Ghost, Kanan and the rest of the "Power" players.
Like its main protagonist, the series started at the bottom, with season one ratings low enough to cause concern. But the show quickly rallied and by the time season two rolled in, it was averaging 3.63 million viewers.
Production on the third season of the popular Starz TV series started last September and all 10 episodes will hopefully be wrapped up early next year as "Power" Season 3 is set to return to Starz by June 2016.
