'Pokemon GO' Windows 10 mobile release date: Game craze intensifies petition to be available on Windows phones
"Pokemon GO" has created a frenzy almost as soon as it was released for iOS and Android mobile phone owners. As an effect, the petition to make the game available for mobile Windows has intensified.
The petition is found on a petition site where a user under the "Pokemon GO for Windows" started the plea 10 months ago and is aimed to garner 50,000 petitioners. After the release of "Pokemon GO," the number of supporters multiplied and now has a total of 47,327 supporters. 2,673 more is needed for the petition to be delivered to Niantic, Inc.
The petition points out that about 8 million mobile devices in use are using Microsoft as their operating system and the number continues to grow. It also states the OS operators of tablets and desktops as well.
Windows 8 is stated to be the third most popular mobile operating system in the world and its latest installment, Windows 10, includes carrier billing for many apps and in-app purchases.
The plea states: "With the above stated, the community composed of millions of loyal fans and users of Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile humbly request Pokémon GO creators, Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, and Nintendo Co., Ltd., to release Pokémon GO on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile alongside their Android and iOS counterparts. "
"Pokemon GO" has successfully merged real-life and virtual Pokemon experience. It makes use of real-world location and gamers receive notification when a Pokemon Egg is in sight wherever they may go.
The app also alerts its user if another Pokemon is in sight and owners may engage in a battle. It also has spread Pokemon Gyms around the globe where an empty Gym may be occupied and an occupied Gym may be challenged.
Furthermore, "Pokemon GO" enables the gamer to hatch the egg by walking a certain distance with incubators scattered for assistance.
Niantic Lab has not commented on the plea.
