'Orange Is the New Black' season 5 rumors: Series to arrive in June, will feature the return of Miss Claudette and Lolly
Although Netflix has been mum on when "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 will arrive, the latest rumors claim that the hit series will arrive in June and may feature the return of Lori Petty's Lolly and the Michelle Hurst's Miss Claudette.
According to reports, it is likely for "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 to arrive this June. After all, the series is known to arrive on the said month almost every year.
Apart from possibly getting released in June, it is also alleged that the highly anticipated Netflix series may feature the return of Miss Claudette. To recall, Hurst, who played the role of the said "Orange Is the New Black" character, missed its season 4 as she figured in a serious car accident that placed her in an induced comatose back in 2014. However, it is suspected that Piper Chapman's (Taylor Schilling) inmate friend may finally return for its season 5 as Hurst has been long out of the woods.
In addition to the possible return of Miss Claudette, it is also suspected that "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 may still include Lolly, although the character was sent to a psychiatric hospital in the show's last season. After all, even Petty is positive that the series would still include her character despite what had happened in season 4.
"I certainly hope so. I do think we will. I can't say for sure, but I absolutely think we will. They are just now filming episode one (of season five) and you know how we ended season four. They have a lot to deal with right now! I'm just waiting on the phone call to get back on the plane. I'm sure it will come, but we have 13 episodes and they've got a lot to take care of, so we'll see," Petty said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year.
Will "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 really feature the return of Miss Claudette? Is Lolly still a part of the story, despite having been sent to a psych hospital?
Find out when "Orange Is the New Black" arrives, hopefully, this June, indeed.
