The magical TV series "Once Upon a Time" has been known to entangle fairytales with nightmares and love with hate. The mid-season premiere of season 11 will see an emotionally torn former evil queen Regina (Lana Parilla) collide with the best and the worst: a chance at romance with a former flame and a battle with her beloved son.

The first half of the season ended with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina getting stuck in the Wish Realm, an alternate reality where Emma is anyone but the savior. To awaken the warrior within, Regina had to kill both Queen Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and King David (Josh Dallas), which turned everyone in the kingdom against her, especially her son Henry (Jared Gilmore).

Emma and Regina could have made a quick escape after the former has awoken. However, facing the palace guards led by Henry proved to be challenging for Regina.

"Killing the Charmings, it wasn't a real sacrifice for Regina, she was really just trying to wake up Emma, but then when Henry comes forward, it's a whole different ball game. No matter whether Henry's real or not, it's still her son, so she can't even fathom the thought of hurting him on any level. I think the real danger for them is getting trapped there," Parrilla told Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile Regina prevents another emotional breakdown when she encounters the wish-world version of Robin (Sean Maguire), also known as Robin of Locksley. Revealed as her "soul mate" in the series, her hope to rekindle their romance might get in the way of her goal to return to her reality sooner.

Apart from Robin, Pinocchio aka August (Eion Bailey) is set to return to help Emma escape. The latter half of the season will also discuss the depth and mystery of Emma and August's relationship.

The trailer for the mid-season premiere shows another epic magical battle brewing in storybrooke. Catch "Once Upon a Time" season 6 episode 11 starting Sunday, March 5, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
