NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti release date, news: Rumored to launch on Oct. 18
One of the market's best graphics processing chip makers, NVIDIA, is rumored to be releasing a midrange graphic processing chip that promises to perform well at a much cheaper price — the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.
NVIDIA has been known to producing the best high-end GPUs. According to reports, there have been leaks of press renders of the GPU that could be used in the launching.
The renders reveal the full printed circuit board (PCB) of the GTX 1050 Ti. It shows that the board has 6-pin power connector, but users are given the option not to use it. There is also a 3 1 phase design for the distribution of the power. Plus, the size of the GTX 1050 Ti is smaller than its predecessor, the GPT 106. This may be done in order to give more space under the hood of the computing devices.
Other sources reveal that the chipset will have a 768 CUDA cores. It has 48 texture mapping units (TMUs) and 32 render output units (ROPs). The processing clocks at 1318 MHz core and 1380 mHz boost, which runs best around 250 MHz. The texture fill can go up to 84 GTexels, which is why it can support up to 4 GB GDDR5 memory clocked at 7 GHz.
There are reports that the budget GPUs will be expected to come out on Oct. 18. The previous NVIDIA chip that came out this year was the GeForce GTX 1060. The upcoming GeForce GTX 1050 Ti could be priced at $149.
Apart from the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, there are rumors that NVIDIA will be releasing the upcoming GTX 1050 SE and GTX 1040 very soon. The new cards may feature 512 CUDA cores, 128-bit interface for 2 GB of memory. The price is also a bit cheaper than the GTX 1050 Ti. Since this is cheaper and the specs are a bit lower than the 1050 Ti, the processing is less demanding as well.
